Abstract

A 23-year-old woman presented at our outpatient dermatology department with a chronic discoid lupus erythematosus. She was treated for a systemic lupus erythematus with hydroxychloroquine and ciclosporine, with an unsatisfactory response. Treatment with fumarates in combination with low dose prednisone was started which resulted in a persistent remission of the skin lesions.
