Abstract

Sleep problems and mood complaints in older adults with intellectual disabilities are common, but evidence based interventions are scarce. This dissertation describes the relationship between light, sleep and mood and studies the effect of light therapy, using integrated dynamic lighting, on sleep and mood in older adults with intellectual disabilities living in a care facility.
