Abstract

This book subjects the current criticism of the UN specialized agencies to substantive examination. Recent criticism and withdrawals are challenging the place of these agencies as permanent fora for dialogue and co-operation. The authors, who have all had practical experience within the UN, examine the workings and policies of these organizations against this threatening background.
