Abstract

Psychotic experiences, such as hallucinations, occur commonly in the general population - especially in young people. The aim of this PhD thesis was to investigate the course,
aetiology, and outcomes of psychotic experiences in childhood and adolescence. Most studies were conducted in the population-based Generation R cohort from Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
