Abstract

Taking neuropsychological tests requires the patient to be familiar with the cultural codes and average level of education of the population for which the tests have been designed. Like other French people, people from different waves of immigration face the challenge of aging and the risk of developing neurodegenerative disease. However, neuropsychological tests to detect cognitive disorders are not well suited to this population. Following on from work initiated by the Avicenne Hospital team over fifteen years ago, the aim of this project is to make progress in the validation of transcultural tests assessing social cognition, executive functions and memory.
