Abstract
This thesis aims to increase awareness of chronic mesenteric ischemia (CMI) within the
medical community, to explore the ability of potential diagnostic tests to reliably exclude
and/or prove the presence of CMI in patients with abdominal symptoms, and to investigate
treatment strategies to improve clinical success and durability of mesenteric artery
revascularization.
