Abstract

In this thesis, antimicrobial resistance was studied using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry and whole-genome sequencing, and several liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry assays were developed and validated for the detection of different antimicrobial resistance mechanisms in the bacteria E. coli and K. pneumoniae.
