Abstract

An overview is given on the topic of water content and water profiles in skin measured by FTIR and Raman spectroscopy. Some results of both techniques on normal skin and hydrated skin are presented. Some exciting results by Raman on in vivo measurement of water concentration profile in skin are shown. In addition, both IR and Raman spectroscopic results are discussed.
