Abstract

The U.S. National Cancer Institute Office of Biorepositories and Biospecimen Research has said that large portions of banked human specimens -in some cases as many as 99 percent- are unsuitable for their intended use, creating an area that is ripe for advancement. Experts suggest actionable strategies for improvement.
